Scotty 1182 Mini PowerGrip Planer Board Release - 100 Piece Bucket [1182-BUCKET]A line release is the critical link between the downrigger and the fishing rod. If it does not preform properly you will loose both valuable fishing time and fish. The fishing line is gripped between the soft pads with variable release tension attained by moving the line in or out of the jaws. The line release is attached to either the weight or the cable.

Not worth it

I had this for four months and now it just shreds the cans. I tried replacing the batteries and that did not help. It makes tiny peices of metal that you get stuck in your fingers. Wouldn’t recommend
