Groups of women there still weave by hand on traditional, vertical looms to make these new rugs! This rug is made of sheep wool over a cotton base. I hope that you can see on the pictures attached how it shows different textures. The main pile is a medium and the pattern is a flatweave, like a kilim. Cream "spots" are also a medium pile. Skin Tone is Improving
